Training for Work
In today’s world, computer skills are a must-have at work. They help you get things done faster, collaborate with others, and stay ahead in your career.
Here’s why they’re so important:
- Work Smarter, Not Harder
Knowing your way around tools like spreadsheets, word processors, or presentation apps saves time and reduces errors. These skills make it easier to stay organised and productive. - Stay Connected
From emails to video calls, computer skills make communication hassle-free, no matter where your team is. Tools like Microsoft Teams also make teamwork a breeze. - Grow Your Career
Want to stand out? Employers value tech-savvy employees. Skills like Excel, Word and PowerPoint could open to better job opportunities. - Adapt to Remote Work
Remote work is here to stay, and computer skills are crucial for using tools like Zoom or Teams. Plus, knowing about online security keeps company data safe while working from home. - Keep Learning
Being comfortable with technology encourages you to explore new tools and keep improving yourself, which is great for your personal growth and your company’s success.

General Computer Skills
In today’s fast-paced and technology-driven work environment, having general computer skills is no longer optional—it’s essential. Investing in general computer skills training empowers employees to work smarter, reduces errors, and enhances their confidence, making it a highly valuable asset in any professional setting.
My training is focussed around your specific needs as an individual. Together, we’ll work at a pace that feels right for you, ensuring you gain the confidence and skills you need. Below are some examples of things you could learn:
- The very basics - finding your way around the computer and using the keyboard
- Storing and organising files (pictures, documents etc)
- Sending emails, and sending emails with attachments with Microsoft Outlook
- Uploading files onto shared online work areas
- Using Teams or Zoom
- Creating documents (such as a CV, reports, invoices or quotes) with Microsoft Word
- And much more!

You can mix and match any topic to suit your specific needs.
All services are completely flexible. Your session time can be used for whatever you want and need.
For Employers
If you have several members of staff who would benefit from computer training, I would recommend one of the following:
Day sessions (drop in, or booked slots)
If you have a room and equipment available at your workplace, book me for a full day and your staff can drop in for an individual one-to-one session on any topic when they are able. Full day sessions are available in any area (see Prices page for pricing).
Group Sessions
To ensure each participant receives personalised attention and support, group sessions are limited to a maximum of three people. This approach accommodates varying levels of expertise and experience, allowing everyone to benefit fully from the session. Please contact me for a quote.
